Mit Unterstützung der Caritas reagiert die WU auf einen eindringlichen Hilferuf ihrer vier ukrainischen Partneruniversitäten und ruft dazu auf, diese Partnerschaft aktiv zu unterstützen.

Dank eurer Hilfe konnte die WU gemeinsam mit der Caritas bereits ein wichtiges Zeichen der Solidarität setzen. Mit weiteren Spenden können unter anderem Server und IT-Infrastruktur repariert, Lehre bei Stromausfällen ermöglicht und sichere, warme Lernumgebungen geschaffen werden. Education shapes the future, but for many universities in Ukraine, the future is currently under threat.

With the support of Caritas,WU responded to an urgent call for help from its four Ukrainian partner universities and called on the community to actively support this partnership.

Wichtige Updates zu den Prüfungsrichtlinien

Informiert euch rechtzeitig vor den nächsten Prüfungen über die aktualisierten Regelungen zu unerlaubten Hilfsmitteln. Ab der April-Prüfungswoche könnt ihr im ÖH WU Student Hub einen Taschenrechner ausleihen, sofern ihr euren eigenen vergessen habt.

Please make sure to review the updated exam regulations on prohibited aids before your next exams. Starting with the April exam week, you can borrow a calculator at the ÖH WU Student Hub in case you forget your own.

NEU: Der digitale Studierendenausweis ist verfügbar

Der digitale Studierendenausweis ist ab sofort in der App eAusweise verfügbar. Voraussetzung für die Nutzung ist die ID Austria oder die eID eines anderen europäischen Mitgliedsstaates. Für zentrale Funktionen an der WU (Identitätskontrolle bei Prüfungen, Öffnen von Räumen, Zugang zu Spinden etc.) gilt weiterhin ausschließlich der WU Chipkartenausweis. Im Zuge der ID Austria Servicetour können österreichische Studierende am Donnerstag, 09.04., direkt am Campus die Registrierung für die ID Austria durchführen.

NEW: The digital student ID is now available

You can now download your digital student ID in the eAusweise app. To do so, you need to have an ID Austria or the eID of another European member state. For core functions at WU (identity checks during exams, opening doors, accessing lockers, etc.), you still need your physical WU student ID card. As part of the ID Austria Service Tour, Austrian students can register for their ID Austria directly on campus on Thursday, April 9.

Writing your final thesis takes time.

That is why you can now borrow books for four weeks instead of two (textbooks can still be borrowed for six weeks).

Erweiterte Öffnungszeiten in den Lernwochen

Von 13.-26. April 2026 könnt ihr wieder die erweiterten Lernwochen-Öffnungszeiten im Bibliothekszentrum (Mo-Fr 08:00-24:00 Uhr & Sa/So 08:00-22:00 Uhr) sowie in der Bibliothek Recht (Mo-Fr 09:00-20:00 Uhr) nutzen.

Extended opening hours during exam prep weeks

From April 13-26, 2026, you can benefit from the extended opening hours during exam prep weeks in the Central Library (Mo-Fr 8 am to midnight and on weekends 8 am to 10 pm) and the Library for Law (Mo-Fr 9 am to 8 pm).
