Erhöhte Sicherheit für euren Account - Einführung der 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung

Mit 30. Juni 2026 benötigt ihr einen zweiten Faktor, um euch für IT-Dienste an der WU anzumelden. Damit erhöhen wir die Absicherung eures WU-Accounts und verstärken insgesamt die Informationssicherheit an der WU. 

Ihr könnt euch jederzeit vor dem 30. Juni die 2-Faktor Authentifizierung selbst einrichten. Mehr Infos, wie ihr eine Authenticator-App mit eurem WU-Account verknüpft, findet ihr hier.

Increased security for your account - introduction of two-factor authentification

As of June 30, 2026, you will need a second factor to log in to WU IT services. This measure increases the security of your WU account and strengthens overall information security at WU.

You can set up two-factor authentication on your own at any time before June 30. More information and a step-by-step guide on how to link an authenticator app with your WU account can be found here.

Noch länger lernen in der Bib

Von 08.-21. Juni 2026 könnt ihr wieder die erweiterten Lernwochen-Öffnungszeiten im Bibliothekszentrum (Mo-Fr 8:00-24:00 Uhr und Sa/So 8:00-22:00 Uhr) sowie in der Bibliothek Recht (Mo-Fr 9:00-20:00 Uhr) nutzen. Gut zu wissen: Zum WU Sommerfest am 11. Juni schließen die Bibliotheken um 18:00 Uhr.

Study even longer in the library

From June 8 to 21, 2026, you can benefit from the extended opening hours during exam prep weeks in the Central Library (Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to midnight; Sat/Sun 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and the Library for Law (Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Good to know: The libraries will close at 6:00 p.m. on June 11, for the WU Summer Celebration.

Rupert Sausgruber als Rektor der WU wiederbestellt

Der Universitätsrat der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien hat den amtierenden Rektor der WU, Rupert Sausgruber, für eine weitere Funktionsperiode wiederbestellt. Seine Amtszeit läuft bis 30. September 2031.
