Dear Research Services customer,
Since last week, several issues affecting usability have been identified in Statistics Finland’s FIONA remote access system. These issues have been investigated in cooperation with the system provider CSC, and most of them have already been resolved. If you continue to experience problems, please contact fiona-tuki@csc.fi.
So far, we have received information about the following issues. Instructions for resolving them are provided under each item.
Ready-made datasets not visible
- The ready-made data folders located in the ready-made/continuous and annual paths have not been visible correctly for all projects
- This visibility issue was fixed on 23 June for both paths. To see the datasets, you need to log in again. Each user should log out of the project machine and FIONA and then log back in. After this, the ready-made dataset folders will be visible in both paths in accordance with the user license.
Network drives not visible
- Project network drives, such as the W: drive, have disappeared from view.
- The issue was fixed on 23 June. The drives will become visible after logging in again. Each user should log out of the project machine and FIONA and then log back in. The network drives will appear with a delay of a few minutes.
SAS not working
- Some projects experienced disruptions in the SAS software on 22 June.
- A fix was implemented on 23 June, and the software should now function again.
Output checking not working
- Files approved in output checking have not been delivered to researchers’ email. The issue was detected on 22 June.
- A fix was implemented on 23 June, and the files are once again being delivered to researchers’ email.
