REBTES project promotes business acquisitions


The REBTES project, coordinated by SEAMK, namely Developing Regional SME Business Transfer Ecosystems, started in early May. The goal of the Interreg Europe-funded project is to develop regional business transfer ecosystems by influencing policy instruments related to the theme.

Exchange of information off to a good start in Seinäjoki


In June 2025, the first workshop of the REBTES project was held in Seinäjoki, Finland. The three-day program brought together experts from the project's partners to get to know each other, exchange experiences, and present the business transfer situation and good practises in their respective regions.

REBTES first phase: the Ecosystem mapping 


The ecosystem mapping is the first phase of the project, aimed at establishing a baseline overview of strengths and challenges at both regional and national levels, while also generating robust comparative data. The goal is to compile a comprehensive review of ecosystems, particularly in relation to structures and the promotion of ownership transitions.

Regional Coordination Groups (RCGs) are the key to ongoing stakeholder dialogue


Each project region will establish a Regional Coordination Group that will engage stakeholder organisations in the learning and in creation and use of shared knowledge base, supporting improvement in the regional policy. 


Our Ukrainian partners organised a successful RCG event at the end of August gathering together representatives of city authorities, business, educational and scientific institutions, public organisations and other interested parties. Read more below.

REBTES 2nd knowledge sharing workshop in Zagreb in November


Following the 1st knowledge sharing workshop in Seinäjoki in June, REBTES project team are continuing co-operation in Zagreb, Croatia, in November. Cepor is hosting the 2-day workshop on the 26-27th November. This time the special topic of discussion is national legal frameworks impact on regional business transfer ecosystem.




 

Developing Regional SME Business Transfer Ecosystems (REBTES) works to develop policy instruments supporting robust business transfer ecosystems, thus contributing to growth, jobs and survival of SMEs in European regions. REBTES brings together partners from six European regions representing different stages of business transfer ecosystem maturity in terms of policy and implementation. In REBTES, the regions will engage in intensive learning and sharing. The focus is on ensuring well-functioning regional ecosystems on permanent basis.
