Leading House South Asia: Research Partnership Grant The
Research Partnership Grant supports Swiss researchers in launching joint
projects with partners from nine South Asian countries (Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Iran).
The funding of transnational,
interdisciplinary collaborations aims to foster long-term partnerships. Funding
of up to CHF 35,000 is available for projects lasting up to 12 months.
Submission deadline: 21 November 2025.
The REPIC platform promotes Swiss know-how carriers (companies, NGOs,
institutes, etc.) in innovative projects in developing or transition countries.
The focus is on renewable energies, energy efficiency, and resource efficiency.
REPIC offers two instruments: "Pilot" for projects in the pre-commercial phase
(up to CHF 150,000) and "Rollout" for the early commercial phase (up to CHF
500,000). The contribution covers a maximum of 50% of the project costs.
The REPIC “Ukraine Engagement” programme promotes the sustainable
reconstruction of Ukraine. The programme has a maximum of CHF 300,000 available
for "pilot" projects and a maximum of CHF 750,000 for "rollout" projects. Up to 70%
of project costs can be financed.
The two-stage evaluation process first requires a pre-proposal. Submission deadline: 8 December 2025.
Leading House MENA: Research
in Crisis-Affected Contexts The scheme funds partnerships between researchers in Switzerland and
partners in the MENA region. It aims to bridge academic inquiry with practical,
policy-oriented solutions. The focus is on projects involving institutions from
fragile, crisis-affected regions. The maximum amount for a grant is CHF 20,000. Submission deadline: 23 January 2026.
Istituto Svizzero:
Residency Programme Roma | Milano | Palermo The Istituto Svizzero offers
residency programmes in Rome (10 or 5 months), Milan (7 months) and Palermo (3
months) to artists and researchers. The aim is to promote projects at the
interface of art, science and innovation that have a clear connection to the
respective location in Italy.

ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships: Asia-Pacific
ThinkSwiss
offers students from India, Singapore, Australia, Brunei, and selected Pacific
Island Countries the opportunity to conduct a research stay of 2-3 months at a Swiss university
or research institute. The Scholarship provides CHF 60 per day to cover living
expenses.
