Student visa for non-EEA nationals
Since your stay in Belgium will exceed 90 days, you are required to apply for a long-term visa (visa type D). The application can be submitted through the Belgian consulate in the country where you have legal residence.
For certain countries, the approval process by Belgian authorities may take three months or even longer. It is therefore important to start your application procedure well ahead of time.
Entering Belgium on a tourist visa alone is not sufficient!
