Did you know? PhD thesis availability

UAntwerp has an open access policy, but exceptions can be made if you have a valid reason. You need to submit the confidentiality checklist at the latest when you submit your thesis to your individual PhD commission. This checklist determines if a full embargo is required. In some cases, you can request later to make your thesis open access, e.g. after the patent application is published. If there are other reasons - which are not the subject of the checklist - why you do not wish to make your thesis immediately open access, you can opt for an embargo period of 1, 2 or 5 years when you submit the final version of your thesis in SisA. Postdoc Day 2025

On 11 June 2025, the next edition of the UAntwerp Postdoc Day will take place at Hof van Liere. The Postdoc Day is also open to PhD researchers who are in their final year of their PhD trajectory.
This year’s central theme is ‘Impact’: how can postdocs make a difference within and beyond academia? Throughout the day, we will explore various ways to enhance research impact, career development, and professional growth. In addition, several initiatives for postdocs will be pitched and presented, offering valuable insights into opportunities that can support their postdoctoral journey.
