United* against Racism

From 16 to 22 March, UAntwerp and its AUHA partners will focus on antiracism, antidiscrimination and inclusion. Join us for inspiring lectures, workshops and film screenings that encourage reflection and action. Get involved and help build a safe and inclusive university.

PRESS>>SPEAK competition

Curious to see how young researchers present their research after an intensive training programme? Come and discover the PRESS>>SPEAK competition on 12 March. Seven young researchers will present their work in five‑minute pitches, take audience questions, and receive jury feedback. The texts from the 6 participants of the writing competition will also be available to all visitors. During the reception, the winners of both competitions will be announced. The audience gets a vote!

Science Communication

Do you know - or are you yourself - a researcher passionate about science communication?
The Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts, together with the Young Academy, is once again awarding various prizes, such as the
Annual Prize and the Prize for Young Promise in Science Communication.

The internal application deadline is 26 March. You can find more information on Pintra (after login, only in Dutch).

This two-hour lecture by Jean-Luc Doumont discusses what (not) to include on a slide and why, how to optimise the slide’s layout to get the message across, and how to handle slides when speaking.

Focus group: the impact of hormones in the workplace

The University of Antwerp is looking for participants (UAntwerp staff and PhD researchers) for the focus group(s) on hormones in the workplace. These sessions will take place in a safe and small-group setting and will be organised in 2026 by the Diversity & Inclusion team. The insights gathered will help UAntwerp take further action and strengthen the policy in a targeted way. Interested? Beyond conflict: roots & resilience

If you have witnessed conflict - or if your loved ones live in a conflict zone - and you are looking for a place where you can bring your experience, UAntwerp invites you to take part in these meeting sessions.
The small-scale setting of a maximum of 10 students provides a safe, trustworthy space to share your experiences. The focus is on you as a person, not on the conflict you have witnessed.

Lunch and Learn Ergonomics

The Health and Safety Department, in collaboration with Mensura, is organising Lunch & Learn sessions on ergonomics to help you learn the right habits and workplace setup to prevent complaints related to computer work.

Several sessions will be held in March accross different campuses, in both Dutch and in English. All details and registration link are available on Pintra (after login).
