September 2025

Dear Circular Economy Community,

Welcome back! We hope you had an enjoyable summer and are full of energy and enthusiasm for the coming year!

The ECESP is organising two events this month. The next #EUCircularTalks webinar will take place on 10 September, tackling Circular textile policies: implementation, challenges and the role of the Circular Economy Act. It will look at the state of play of circular textile policies in the EU, progress made, gaps and next steps and will be moderated by Lars Fogh Mortensen from the European Environment Agency. Do sign up for it!

The second event is of course the Circular Economy Days at the World Expo in Japan. This will involve nine sessions over three days in five national pavilions, covering topics such as fashion, the New European Bauhaus, plastics and consumer behaviour.

In other circular news, the European Commission has launched a public consultation on the forthcoming Circular Economy Act. It’s open until 6 November, and the Commission is looking to build up a good picture of the barriers and opportunities when it comes to rolling out the circular economy. If you work in this field, you must have a fairly good idea so do let the Commission know.

Lastly, as usual, we have a selection of recent items on the website: consultations, calls for applications, events, companies and projects active in the circular field, training courses, guides, reports and more. Do let us know about your circular initiatives, we’d love to add them as well!
