Mark your calendars!

The European Economic and Social Committee, as the institutional house of civil society, proudly returns with the third edition of Civil Society Week, taking place from 2–5 March 2026.

Focusing on the theme of People, Democracy, Resilience – Our Future, #CivSocWeek will bring together a wide range of voices, from grassroots activists and youth representatives to EU policymakers, journalists, and organised civil society across Europe, including candidate countries.

The event will focus on tackling poverty, reducing social exclusion, involving citizens, and bridging divides across regions and generations to rebuild trust and foster lasting social cohesion. In this context, advancing diversity, civic engagement, equality, and inclusion are key pathways to renewing Europe’s social and democratic promise for future generations.

The 4-day event will feature:

  • Sessions led by the EESC Liaison Group with European civil society organisations and networks
  • European Citizens´ Initiative (ECI) Day (3 March)
  • Contributions from national Economic and Social Councils
  • Youth representatives, journalists, and civil society organisations from candidate countries

Join us for an inspiring forum of expert-led sessions and impactful discussions. Make your voice heard on key issues for Europe's new political agenda and connect with civil society networks and changemakers from all over Europe!
