COP31 PRIORITIES & SANTA MARTA CONFERENCE
In light of several important developments in the international climate landscape, we are pleased to share with you a second overview of key updates that may be of interest. You can find the highlights here.
ICC ENGAGEMENT AT COP31 - EARLY PLANNING
As we advance with preparations for COP31, we would also like to share with you ICC's Key Messages & Strategic Plan for COP31, outlining our early priorities and engagement approach.
As the voice of the real economy in the UN climate process - through our role as official UNFCCC Focal Point for Business and Industry - we will continue to engage actively in both the negotiation process and the action agenda, with a view to bringing constructive business perspectives on key issues and supporting practical, implementable outcomes.
ICC physical presence at COP31
Building on previous COPs, ICC intends to ensure again a strong presence at COP31 and host central business spaces. These spaces will serve as a key platform to convene members and partners, facilitate dialogue with governments and other stakeholders, and support business engagement throughout the conference. Further details on ICC’s presence and engagement opportunities will be shared in due course.
ICC SUBMISSION ON THE TRANSITION AWAY FROM FOSSIL FUELS
Lastly, we are pleased to share for your information the recent ICC submission in response to the COP30 Presidency consultation on the Roadmap on the Transition Away from Fossil Fuels in a Just, Orderly and Equitable Manner. We would like to thank all those who have provided their valuable contributions and comments.
