Subject: Call for Applications - COP31 Business Forum Working Groups

Why it matters: The Working Groups will shape private sector recommendations for the  COP31 Business & Investment Summit.

Action(s) needed: Apply by 10 July 2026 to participate in one of the Working Groups, nominating one Lead representative and one Deputy Representative.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to share that, following the COP31 Business Forum High-Level Roundtable held during London Climate Action Week, the COP31 Business Forum Secretariat has now opened applications for the COP31 Business Forum Working Groups.

Background

The Working Groups will serve as the primary platform for developing private sector recommendations and business-driven initiatives in preparation for the COP31 Business & Investment Summit, to be held in Antalya on 12–13 November 2026. They will bring together representatives from business, finance, international organizations, chambers of commerce and other key stakeholders to contribute to the COP31 Action Agenda through structured dialogue and practical recommendations.

Each Working Group is expected to convene as follows:

  • Two virtual meetings prior to New York Climate Week;
  • One hybrid meeting during New York Climate Week (22–27 September 2026); and
  • Continued engagement leading up to the presentation of recommendations at the COP31 Business & Investment Summit in Antalya.

For Action

Organizations wishing to participate are invited to nominate a Lead Representative and a Deputy Representative by completing the application form by 10 July 2026.

Please also find here the COP31 Business Forum presentation, which provides further information on the Working Groups and the overall roadmap.

Thank you for your continued engagement. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

ICC Climate Team
