Subject: COP31 logistics update - Key information

Why this matters: New logistical information is now available following a briefing in June in Bonn to help participants prepare for COP31 in Antalya.

Actions needed: Review the logistics updates below.

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to share the latest information on COP31 logistics as preparations continue for the conference taking place at the Antalya EXPO Center in Soğucaksu, Antalya, Türkiye, from Monday, 9 November to Friday, 20 November 2026.

Please note that the UNFCCC registration process for COP31 is expected to open within the next one to two weeks. Once registration opens, we will circulate to members a call for expressions of interest to register as part of the ICC delegation. As in previous years, we will work to secure maximum representation for the ICC network and our member companies in Antalya and expect to be able to confirm registrations starting from mid-September.

COP31 VENUE

The conference will feature a Blue Zone and a Green Zone, with easy movement between the two. The Blue Zone is the UNFCCC-managed official conference area, accessible only to accredited participants. It will host official negotiations, the World Climate Action Summit, country pavilions, presidency events, panels, roundtables, and a wide range of side events.

The Green Zone will be open to the general public and is intended as a space where technology, innovation, investment, partnerships, and civic engagement come together through exhibitions, events, and awareness activities. It will feature thematic hubs focused on key climate solutions, as well as the first-ever dedicated startup ecosystem area in COP history, showcasing climate technology solutions. More information on the Green Zone is available here.

You may also consult the venue maps for the Blue Zone here and the Green Zone here.

ICC PRESENCE AT COP31

Building on ICC's strong track record at past COPs, we will again ensure a high-impact presence at COP31. Further details on engagement and partnership opportunities for the ICC and UNFCCC business network will be shared in due course. In the meantime, please contact Sabrina Klayman to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

COP31 SCHEDULE

The following dates of the main COP31-related events are confirmed to date. We will continue to keep you informed as further updates become available:

  • Pre-COP: 5–8 October 2026 (Tuvalu and Fiji)
  • Pre-sessional meetings: 3–9 November 2026 (Antalya)
  • Opening: 9 November 2026 (Antalya)
  • Leaders' Summit: 11–12 November 2026 (Antalya)
  • Business and Investment Summit: 12–13 November 2026 (Antalya)
  • Closing: 20 November 2026 (Antalya)

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation booking platform remains open and accessible here. The Government of Türkiye has designated Coral Travel as the official accommodation provider, with a wide range of options available across different budget categories (from 2-star to 5-star hotels).

Antalya offers 650,000 hotel beds with approximately 400,000 options in the city centre and close to the COP31 venue, ensuring flexible choices for all budgets. We strongly encourage all those planning to attend to secure their accommodation at the earliest opportunity, as availability may become limited closer to the conference dates.

For accommodation-related inquiries, contact Coral Travel at COP31booking@coraltravel.com or +90 444 7117. When making your reservation, we also recommend reviewing the applicable cancellation and refund policy carefully.

TRANSPORTATION

Antalya is highly accessible, with Istanbul Airport serving as one of the world's largest international aviation hubs, connecting passengers through 85 airlines. Antalya Airport is located only 12km away from the venue.

During November, 500 buses will operate dedicated routes connecting the COP venue to the main accommodation areas, with 24-hour service available as needed and higher frequency during peak hours. A tram line also connects the city centre, airport, and COP31 area. Transport services will be free of charge for all participants to and from the designated accommodation facilities and the Conference venue.

  • You can reserve your airport and city transfers for the COP31 conference period (November 9-20, 2026) through the official transfer platform here.
  • A map of the official COP31 transportation routes between the venue, Antalya Airport, and the main accommodation areas is available here.

VISA PROCEDURES

A visa is required for most international participants. The Government of Türkiye is working to put in place a facilitated electronic visa procedure for officially accredited UNFCCC COP31 participants, and will share further information in due course. We will circulate any updates as soon as they become available.

SECURITY & HEALTH

The Turkish Government is putting in place comprehensive security and health arrangements to ensure the safety of all COP31 participants. Security measures include designated high-security zones for accommodation of world leaders, fire services and early fire detection systems, 24-hour emergency lines, cybersecurity measures, and critical infrastructure protection. Advanced medical services will also be available throughout the conference, including 24-hour on-site medical personnel and access to more than 50 hospitals across the Antalya region.

For the latest information, we encourage you to regularly consult both the official UNFCCC COP31 website and the COP 31 Türkiye Presidency website. The webcast of the COP31 logistics briefing held during SB64 is available here. We will also continue to share key updates with the group as they become available.

We thank you for your continued engagement.

Best regards,

ICC COP31 Team
