Advancing DSI's next phase of strategy and implementation. Following the completion of DSI's 2.0 strategy and governance review, the proposed new structure was presented to the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) on 24 August. The refreshed model sharpens the IAB's focus on industry requirements for digital trade records, across standards, trust and identity, and introduces new model to enable these to be addressed. A formal announcement on the new operating model and structure will be released in the coming weeks.
FIT Alliance launches third global eBL survey. Building on previous studies conducted in 2022 and 2024, the 2026 survey will provide an updated picture of adoption trends, industry readiness and remaining barriers to implementation across international trade. The findings will support FIT Alliance's ongoing efforts to advance legal certainty, interoperability and standards alignment, helping accelerate the transition to digital trade at scale. DSI advances digital trade agenda at APEC China 2026. At APEC China 2026 in Dalian, ICC DSI contributed to a series of discussions advancing policy and industry dialogue on digital trade, paperless trade adoption and supply chain interoperability. Across four workshops and policy dialogues, participants highlighted the role of legal reform, electronic transferable records, structured data standards and trusted digital infrastructure in enabling cross-border trade. Discussions reinforced growing regional momentum behind MLETR adoption, electronic bills of lading (eBLs) and closer public-private collaboration to accelerate digital trade implementation across APEC economies.
