The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has released its full Dispute Resolution 2024 Statistics, covering a year marked by caseload record value and an expanding global reach.     

Highlights 

  • 841 new arbitration cases were filed in 2024 –831 under the ICC Arbitration Rules, with 1,789 cases pending cases at year end 
  • Total amount in dispute across new cases reached US$102 billion, while the value of all pending cases hit a record US$354 billion. 
  • A record-breaking number of 511 parties from Latin American and the Caribbean, representing 21% of parties worldwide.

The ICC Dispute Resolution 2024 Statistics also demonstrate a robust geographic representation of parties, arbitrators and seats of arbitration in all regions. In total, ICC cases registered in 2024 featured 2,392 parties from across 136 jurisdictions, 1,427 confirmations/appointments of 1,020 individual arbitrators of 91 nationalities, with arbitrations seated in 107 cities across 62 countries.
