Concert Program for Autumn/Winter 2025


The autumn semester has begun – and with it, our concert season. In the coming months, there will be numerous projects with and by our students: in addition to regular formats such as class auditions in the classical area or the concert series Chrut u Rüebe featuring jazz and contemporary music, several large and unique performances will take place. Playtime Posters Awarded


Twice already, the Playtime posters have won awards in the Best 100 Posters competition from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Now, the Playtime 2025 poster has been recognized in Edinburgh, selected from 2,200 entries in the Edinburgh Poster Competition. Additionally, the studio received an invitation to present PLAYTIME at the first Shanghai International Poster Design Exhibition in December 2025. Congratulations to the HKB Atelier for this fantastic work!

“Rhizom” plays Pastorale


The HKB Chamber Orchestra will perform a special concert: three works are being developed collectively, without a central conductor. The program includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, also known as Pastorale, Carl Maria von Weber’s First Clarinet Concerto, and a free improvisation by the entire ensemble.

125 Years: "Schweizerischer Tonkünstlerverein"


In cooperation with HKB, the KKL Lucerne will host a weekend exhibition titled "In the Focus of Developments", reflecting on the eventful history of the “Schweizerischer Tonkünstlerverein”. At a book launch on Saturday, musicologists and HKB researchers Thomas Gartmann, Doris Lanz, and Raphaël Sudan will also present two new, complementary collected volumes on the subject.

ECMA Session in Bern


For the tenth time, the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) is organizing a session in Bern together with HKB. Students and ensembles from across Europe will spend an intensive week with masterclasses, workshops, and concerts. The anniversary edition focuses on the theme of repetition in music and teaching, fittingly under the motto “Play it again…”.
