Celebrate the start of your journey with Welcome to King’s, from Monday 15 – Friday 26 September 2025.

Packed with things to see and do, there’s going to be online opportunities to connect with other students, as well as a variety of in-person events if you’re visiting campus.

The Welcome to King’s - September 2025 guide on the Welcome to King’s app is the best way to get started and plan for Welcome. Download the app on your phone (iOS/Android) and use the passphrase reggielion25 to open the guide and find out more about Welcome events and activities, including those from your faculty. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can also access the guide via your web browser.

Complete enrolment

If you haven’t already, you’ll soon receive an email with initial instructions on how to complete enrolment, which has four main stages:

  • Stage 1: Online enrolment
  • Stage 2: Essential training. Within Student Records, go to ‘My Training’ on the right-hand side where you’ll be asked to follow further instructions to complete your essential training courses, including our ‘Keeping Each Other Safe’ series and your Health and Safety induction.
  • Stage 3: Right to Study check (for students who do not hold British or Irish nationality). The Right to Study check ensures that international students hold an appropriate immigration status to study in the UK. Even if you hold settled status or have an indefinite right to remain, you’re still required to complete the Right to Study check.
  • Stage 4: Collecting your student ID card (optional for distance learners)

Want a walk-through? Use our enrolment checklist to go through the steps.

The enrolment email will have been sent to the email address you supplied when making your application to study at King’s. If you can’t locate the email or believe it might have been sent to an email address you can no longer access, please contact us with your student number, which can be found on your offer letter.

Your student ID card

As you’re studying online, you don’t require a student ID Card.

Should you be in London and wish to obtain one, please follow the process in our article It’s my first time on campus, how will I collect my student ID card?
