Complete enrolment

You’ll receive an email with details on how to complete the online enrolment task no earlier than 30 days before your course start date. However, it can take some time for the email to be released to everyone, so we ask you to please be patient. Find out more in our article When will I receive the online enrolment task invitation email?

The enrolment email will be sent to the email address you supplied when making your application to study at King’s. If you can't locate the email, please wait until 3 working days before your course start date before contacting us through King's Apply with your student number, which can be found on your offer letter.

Enrolment has four main stages:

• Stage 1: Online enrolment
• Stage 2: Essential training. Within Student Records, go to ‘My Training’ on the right-hand side where you’ll be asked to follow further instructions to complete your essential training courses, including our ‘Keeping Each Other Safe’ series and your Health and Safety induction. 
• Stage 3: Right to Study check (for students who do not hold British or Irish nationality). The Right to Study check ensures that international students hold an appropriate immigration status to study in the UK. Even if you hold settled status or have an indefinite right to remain, you are still required to complete the Right to Study check. 
• Stage 4: Collecting your student ID card. You’ll receive your student ID card during your induction.

Prepare for your studies

Embarking on your Medicine degree is an exciting milestone in your academic journey. It can feel daunting, but don’t worry, King’s offers plenty of support to help you settle into student life.

Follow the steps to access your IT account to get ready to study, then find out about the software and systems you’ll use in your studies on SSO.

Once your IT account is set up, enrol in two key courses to help you prepare for university: the Essential Digital Skills Programme introduces key learning platforms like KEATS and Microsoft 365, while Academic Skills for Learning offers self-study resources, workshops and one-to-one sessions so you can develop the skills you need to succeed at King’s.

It’s never too early to start thinking about your future career. The Careers & Employability team offer a range of remote services, including digital resources and online careers events.

The Entrepreneurship Institute is the dedicated hub of all entrepreneurial activity at King's. Through online workshops and programmes, the team can help you develop entrepreneurial skills and progress disruptive ideas, wherever you are studying from. Sign up for their newsletter and join a network of founders, funders and innovators across the global King's community.

Make sure you also check out King’s Edge, which gives you access to a wide range of extracurricular activities from workshops, cultural activities, creative projects, programmes and volunteering. Explore the various opportunities designed to help you connect with our community and enrich your student life. You can start registering for activities once you’ve completed stage 1 of your enrolment.
