This edition brings exciting news: our latest call for life science pilot projects is open until 2 June, and our internship programme is in full swing with multiple placements available across the Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-Hamburg region. You'll also find insights into our contribution to the EU life science strategy, our growing engagement with industry, and a look at the Hanseatic Science Cloud prototype. Plus, we’re thrilled to welcome our new communications manager, Denise de Roux, which will also coordinate the preparations for HALRIC’s final conference in March 2026. Yes, it's already underway! If you have any suggestion for it, you are more than welcome to write to her at dd@mva.org.
WHAT'S NEW?
Apply by 2 June to HALRIC call for projects
Work Package 2
Already 300 partners have been supported by HALRIC through the pilot project programme. If you would like to benefit from expert support and get access to the research infrastructures of HALRIC partners, apply by 2 June with your life science project.
What if HALRIC's cross-border model will guide the EU's new life science strategy, promoting innovation and collaboration? Learn more about our contribution to the consultation launched by the European Commission this year.
Did you know that HALRIC developed an Industry engagement strategy, generating over 20 new connections with companies? Discover how we have united academia, hospitals, and industry to drive cross-border life science innovation in the Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-Hamburg region.
What if researchers with a user account at the University of Oslo, DESY, LUNARC, MAX IV or Lund University could have access to a platform streamlining cross-border life science data? This is now possible thanks to the Hanseatic Science Cloud prototype developed in the framework of HALRIC.
Are you a master’s student interested in hands-on experience with cutting-edge life science research? Our partner institutions offer a number of internship placements through the HALRIC internship programme.
Several positions are now open with deadlines in May and June 2025:
